EVERY BECAK - SI CENTIL

SI CENTIL

I’ve always considered people who can relish the scenery while being shaded by the roof of a rickshaw to be very fortuitous. But lamentably, the delectation is not balanced by the emolument received by the driver.

In turn, this causes gregarious imbalance.

- Eugenio Hendro

The concept behind Si Centil is initiated from the perspective of the “lovey-dovey” couple from a rural area. The characteristics of the woman, called Trilly, are illustrated by having flirtatious, curious, and relishes to be photographed in her circadian. Then it is all depicted by the number of mirrors in all areas of Si Centil – from the front, behind, left, to right sides.

Furthermore, Tejo as the driver of Si Centil is a man who is madly in love with Trilly. He is inclined to meet all the desiderata of Trilly, which are depicted by the storage box and shelves. This rickshaw withal has a sizably voluminous umbrella as a symbol of a shelter for their unconditional love for each other.

The details of the woven umbrellas and the rattan on the wheels reflect their pristine inceptions as the farmer and weaver. The color of dark and gold withal hold a deep denotement, where the man is yare to sacrifice everything to glorify his lover.
