Alvin Tjitrowirjo

One of Indonesia’s most prominent designers, Alvin is an award-winning designer whose works are regularly exhibited across the world in notable exhibitions such as, Maison et Objet in Paris  and Salone Del Mobile in Milan, Tokyo’s  DesignArt  to name a few. He founded his design studio under the moniker alvinT in 2006 and has grown the company in explorative ways. A pioneer in bringing Indonesian flair into the international furniture design scene, Alvin is a sensible designer with his homeland close to heart.

Alvin’s work departs from a place of longing and runs on the trails of play. Since the beginning of his career, it’s been his desire to communicate the playful and exciting personalities of Indonesian cultures in unexpected and contemporary expressions. When he’s not working in his lively studio or speaking at design conferences, Alvin can be spotted carefully plotting a colossal design revolution at the comfort of his unpretentious home.
